These are only some highlights. In addition, we:
- subsidized historic trips to Washington D.C. and Gettysburg
- subsidized summer camp fees, enabling numerous scouts to attend, who otherwise would be unable
- assisted in sending members to the National Jamboree in August, 1993
- sent many scouts to Junior Leader Training Conferences in the past several years
As you can see, we have been doing very well, all in the interest of the scouts in our unit. However, there is still a great deal to be done. Some examples include:
- finish outfitting the Scout Center as a New York City hospitality center for visiting scouts
- complete construction of, and acquisition of tools for the maintenance shop
- acquire additional audio-visual equipment for training and advancement
- outfit communications for the Scout Center including antennae, CB, Ham, and marine radios
- finish outfitting the photo processing lab with necessary equipment
- create and outfit a video production lab
- acquire property and construct a cabin for troop program, training, and alumni recreation
- acquire a troop bus and endow insurance
- acquire a troop trailer
- outfit and train a troop band
- subsidize a Philmont expedition for troop members
- subsidize a cross-country trip for troop members, including a visit to the National Scouting Museum in Murray, Kentucky
- create a perpetual campership fund
